On the break up of the Taylor and Barrett partnership in 1945, Alfred Barrett and his two sons formed new company, Barrett & Sons. They shared out the old Taylor & Barrett moulds with F G Taylor but became particularly known for detailed dollhouse items such as the cat and kittens in a basket. They started contract making dolls house furniture for Bartons in the 1950s and finally sold out to them in the 1980s.
