Benbros (London) Ltd was set up by the Benson brothers in 1951 to expand their manufacture of diecast toys, buying up some of the mould dies from rivals Timpo. Like other toy manufacturers, they produced commemorative toys for the 1953 coronation and were also known for their Wild West and Farm Series. In 1954 Benbros lauched the TV series which comprised of smaller scale models packed into a box in the style of a contemporary TV set. This range was relaunched two years later as Mighty Midgets. Despite the launch of a premium Zebra Toys range in the 1960s, the demand for diecast toys was decreasing and the toy factory closed in 1965.
