Britains Racing Colours Famous Owners: HM The King, boxed, pre-war

1 item left

King George V was not the passionate racing monarch that his father had been, but he enjoyed looking over the horses, both on his stud and in training. Jockey wears King's silks of purple jacket with scarlet sleeves, gold hoops (which would have been braid) across the front of the vest and a black cap (that was velvet in real life). Contained in original pre-war box with printed label and tissue

Horse and jockey in overall excellent original condition with only a very minor area of paint loss to jockey's sleeves and inside of right boot. Whip top complete. Box intact and in very good original condition with just some minor splitting to one edge of base.
