This rare original Barrett and Son Pixie Tree House is the first version with the open door. The brown tree house has a red roof and chimney with cream window cills and front step and a grey squirrel climbing up the trunk. The two boughs have sadly been broken so are shorter than they should be but the original owl is still with the piece

A unique version of the Pixie Tree House that was illustrated on p. 89 of "Hollowcast Toy Figures" by Norman Joplin and Philip Dean as a boxed tableau, the box lid included the poem: "Only in the dead of night, Do pixies ever work and play, You might see them in the bright moonlight, But never in the light of day"

in good plus condition with some paint loss and minor split to base of tree plus tiny hole to right of entrance
