The legacy of the Wadia family is the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai that was built upon land donated by industrialist Sir Cusrow N Wadia and the C N Wadia Gold Cup that is named in his honour. The racing colours for Mr C Wadia are listed as 1940 so presumably before he was knighted.
Jockey wears his colours of black silks with red arms and horizontal red stripe. The jockey's cap is in red and black alternate quarters. He is riding the correct pre-war brown / bay horse ands has original whip intact
The jockey is in very good to excellent original condition with only tiny paint chips. This is because he had been kept in a Britains salesman's box of jockeys that were all post-war and so I have removed him from the box for accuracy. The horse is in very good original condition with some very minor paint loss
