an unusual French Indian native riding an elephant as seen on p.88 Joplin & Dean blue book of Hollowcast Civilians and believed to have been made by Charles Lanoy. Native is wearing red cloak with gold trousers and yellow turban and holding a rifle in his right hand. He is seated on a red and gold cloth on a light grey elephant with his trunk raised. Fully marked Made in France underneath. Measures 3.5 inches / just over 8 cms high

in very good original condition with only very minor paint loss
