Pip, Squeak and Wilfred were characters in a comic strip which first appeared in the Daily Mirror newspaper in May 1919. Pip was a dog, Squeak a penguin and Wilfred who did not appear until later in the series as their 'child' was a rabbit. The comic strip was at the height of its popularity in the 1920s.
These are the Pixyland Kew versions of them from their "Children's Pet Series" and are manufacturer reference: 391, 392, 393. The tallest character, Wilfred, measures 7cms tall to tip of ears
in very good original condition with just some areas of paint loss that don't detract from this charming set
