From the Taylor & Barrett ARP (Air Raid Precautions) Trailer Pump Series set 212 come these three Taylor & Barrett A.F.S. (Auxiliary Fire Service) firemen in different poses, designed to hold the hose. They are wearing navy uniforms with gold buttons with green hard hats and gas marks. The pump is missing its stand but has two original hoses, each complete with the different nozzles
The Air Raid Precaution Act of 1937 presented a statutory duty on local authorities to provide shelter and anti-gas precautions for their community. The policy allowed for protection by personal gas masks and domestic air raid shelters, most commonly Anderson shelters. In addition, local government were also responsible for siren warnings, first aid and rescue services, firefighting, gas decontamination and enforcement of blackout regulations by ARP wardens and civil police.
Figures and pump in very good original condition with only minor paint loss.
